I load the stuff on the checkout moving thingie in the order I want it
bagged, and I try to do the bagging myself. All frozens go in one
bag, refridgeratables in another bag etc. I schlep this stuff into
the house first, put it away, then at my leisure bring in the canned
etc.

Been known to drive around for a few days with t.t. and cat litter
still in the trunk.
