Don't feel bad Nancy! I began swimming laps about a year and a half
ago. I figure I'm swimming 150 laps (about 2 miles), 4 or 5 times a
week.

I know I'm burning a ton of calories. Unfortunately, I begin having
visions of things to cook while I'm swimming those laps. I'm famished
when I get out of the pool, so I usually drive through the Taco Bell
first. I'm roughly guessing 750 calories burned in the pool, but
there's 1100 calories in the Taco Bell bag.

I haven't lost a pound, but I haven't gained any either. And I'm less
fluffy, than I was before.

I had hoped to do a swim to Fisherman's Wharf, from Alcatraz next
Spring. I can handle the distance, and I can handle the waves. I'm
not too afraid of the sharks, after figuring there are actually more
sharks on land, than ever dwelled in the sea. . .But alas, there is
absolutely NO WAY I can handle the temperature of the water!
