I just found out, after being one of his biggest
fans for 40 years, that Tom Lehrer's song "Lobachevsky"
is a parody of a Danny Kaye song "Stanislavsky". I spent
way too much time yesterday trying to google the lyrics
to the Danny Kaye song. As it turns out about 999 citations
out of 1000 are about the Tom Lehrer song and the mention
of the Danny Kaye song cause them to come up in the Danny
Kaye search!!!! Grrrr! I found a couple of sites that
claim to have the lyrics but I think you have to pay to
see them and I couldn't seem to get them to come up.
I also searched on sheet music. But couldn't find any
that had that particular song. I did find out during this
mostly fruitless search that the song appears in the Danny
Kaye movie "Kid from Brooklyn".

So, to the point, finally - does anyone know the lyrics to
this song? Or know where to find them or know where I can
get the sheet music?

Thanks,
Kate
