See the five contenders in the "Best Sandwich in America," according to the
TODAY Show.

The photos for all contenders are pretty lousy, imho.
And to futher the Cheesesteak BLT cause...
What's the Chowder House in Kalifornia doing offering an East Coast lobster
roll sandwich?!? And would the "Best Sandwich in America" cost $20.00?
What's great about pastrami on rye. I've had one. Been around forever. All
that's left to do to the "ancient" pastrami on rye is keep adding more
meat. No longer original, rather old fashioned.
What's great about the New Orleans muffuletta? It's been made for 100 years
and it looks it's age. It's no longer original, rather old fashioned.
French's Fantasy is a tall triple-decker that is so tall it should be
served separately as salad and meat sandwiches. That would be original!
Overdone!
