Used to go there myself in the 70's while we were living in San Francisco.
They ran next door to get the chips after you ordered.
Odd you should mention that, DH is just now writing a sympathy card to a
friend who use to visit from the East Coast. DH and he went to this
establishment, and DH and I did also.
Good place to drink and eat.
