Oh, you poor girl. If you've never had a babka, you've missed one of the
best Polish treats you can have. My grandmother, of course, made the best,
but there are other good ones around.

It is a yeast cake made with a lot of egg yolks (maybe a dozen) and often
filled with cheese or a prune filling. If there is a topping at all, it is
usually a crumb topping.
